PIT NOTES

Updates from the workshop, straight off the bench.

A PIT STOP FOR THE PIT STOPS.

We took a run from the title screen through a race, the reward pick and the shop. Winning uncovered a particularly daft problem: the results board could turn into a drainpipe. All the information was there. You needed a magnifying glass to read it.

Previous race results squeezed into a narrow column
Before: a very long way down to CONTINUE.

The board now waits for its text to settle before sizing itself. The same four-car result stays readable, and an eight-car field fits the smaller window too. Sponsor hardware also appears in the garage header immediately, instead of pretending your garage is empty until the next race.

Corrected victory results with readable race recap, prize and standings
After: the prize deserves a proper board.

We are preparing the race display earlier, during the title sequence, to take some work out of that first trip to the grid. We also stopped the demonstration cars tripping over a missing crash value every frame. There are still occasional racing hitches and memory use is above our target; this is a useful first repair, not a declaration that every bump is gone.

The racing model, cards, campaign and your display settings stay as they were.
