PIT NOTES

Updates from the workshop, straight off the bench.

THE GARAGE GETS MOVING

We put a car on an illustrated workbench and somehow made it feel less like a slot car. Back to the track it goes. The garage now keeps your car driving through the same meadow and forest artwork you race past, with its paint, stripes and glowing trail visible as you choose them.

After: a road under the wheels, and a name under every model.

Before: plenty of spanners, one car looking for a road.

We gave the choices more room too. Model cards show what is equipped, what is available and which level opens the locked cars. Paint has named colour swatches, patterns show their stripes, and the smaller details have their own shelf. You can take a locked model for a look without swapping your saved car; RETURN TO MY CAR brings it back.

Champion Gold, while actually going somewhere. This desktop test scene lends us the unlock.

These are fresh Windows desktop test scenes, checked at full size and in a smaller window. The makeover changes how you browse your car, not how it races: the unlock requirements, handling, tracks, countryside rules and existing saves stay as they were.
